The Friends of Black Hill Nature Programs is a non-profit formed in 2001 to support the nature programs at Black Hill Regional Park.

One of the areas that FoBH supports is the Nature Playspace at Black Hill. The Nature Playspace consists of multiple areas in close proximity to the Nature Center. These areas are each a unique environment designed to spark imaginations and help children learn to interact with each other and nature in a safe space.

In response to requests from the naturalists at Black Hill, FoBH enlisted my services in making a map of the Nature Playspace. Although children are free to play in the spaces however they want to, the park naturalists will provide guided play and suggestions for those who want it. This map is an aid for those who would like a more structured experience. It provides a map of the spaces along with play suggestions and playspace etiquette to help ensure that everyone has an enjoyable experience.
